Oregon taxpayers are pleased with the $7.5 million that some Oregon school districts spent on Oregon foods since 2011 with just $600,000 in state incentive. Now lawmakers have nearly quadrupled the level of support over the next two years and expanded the incentive program to all schools.
The letters of support keep coming in. City after city, from Ann Arbor to Petoskey, is making it clear to state and federal officials that they support passenger trains.
A little over a month ago, leaders from almost 200 countries approved an agreement that basically says, “We’ve got a serious climate problem and an unprecedented opportunity; we will work together to solve it for the benefit of humanity.”
